A card transaction can show an amount without the receipt that explains it. Paflio gives a client a place to add the original, check the details and prepare a reviewed record before asking you to work from it.
The client keeps control
The owner adds a receipt photo or supplier invoice, compares the details with the original in Review, and adds a confirmed expense record to the Ledger. The owner invites an external professional to a specific client Workspace and can choose View/export or Review/edit access. The client can later change or revoke that grant. Revocation stops fresh access; it cannot recall a file that was already downloaded.
One professional login, separate client Workspaces
With your own verified sign-in, you can switch among client Workspaces that have invited you. A grant for one client does not open another client’s records. View/export lets you inspect permitted records and originals and prepare an export; Review/edit also allows supported corrections. The owner keeps control of each invitation and preset. This external-professional role is included for eligible client Workspaces; check the current access and plan terms before a client starts.
Inspect what you receive
- Open the source: compare the original document with the reviewed amount, date, supplier and any open question.
- Resolve exceptions: ask the owner about a missing document, mixed purchase or unclear purpose instead of silently guessing a classification.
- Export deliberately: use the authorized CSV and original-file package for the selected records, then check that the period and client match your handoff.
Paflio organizes source-linked expense records. It does not replace your accounting software, post transactions automatically, decide tax treatment or guarantee that every extracted detail is correct. Share the weekly and month-end receipt guide with an owner who needs a preparation routine.
Explore a bookkeeper pilot
Eligible new Solo client Workspaces can start with a 30-day trial without a card or automatic charge. Review current pricing and eligibility before signup. The client, not the bookkeeper, starts the Workspace and sends the invitation.
If you want to discuss a small bookkeeper pilot, email the Paflio team about the bookkeeper pilot. Say how many clients you would like to try and what handoff format you use. Do not email customer receipts, account credentials or private client details. Your email app lets you review the message before sending; this page does not submit a form or collect data.
See the Canadian small-business receipt routine or the contractor workflow for two client examples. The examples are fictional, not customer results or measured time savings.
